Customer acquisition for insurance technology companies.
Caldrin helps insurance software companies get discovered by buyers researching products and reach the accounts worth pursuing. We work across commercial Search + AI visibility, market research and signal-based outbound.
The starting offer depends on whether buyers are already researching the product category or fitting organisations can be reached directly.
SEARCH + AI
Help buyers find and evaluate the product.
For category, workflow, integration and vendor-comparison research. We may review commercial queries, technical visibility, product pages, AI recommendations and the third-party sources buyers encounter.
For identifiable brokers, insurers, MGAs or technology partners that fit the product. We may define the market, segment accounts, research public signals and test buyer-specific messages. An insurer is not automatically a prospect.
The work is scoped to the product, buyer and acquisition constraint. It does not assume every company needs both channels at once.
01
Market research
Map the buying process, category language, competing products and reachable accounts. Separate broker, MGA, carrier and partner buying roles.
Typical output: a prioritised query or account map.02
Acquisition assets
Prioritise product and use-case pages, technical fixes, source research or targeted campaign infrastructure according to the starting offer.
Typical output: pages, account segments or test-ready messages.03
Testing and measurement
Check relevant search visibility and sampled AI recommendations, or run a controlled outbound test. Connect results to qualified conversations and downstream conversion where data allows.
Typical output: a measurement record and next decisions.
ILLUSTRATIVE BROKER-SOFTWARE EXAMPLE
One product, two ways to reach agency buyers.
Suppose a broker software vendor wants to reach independent insurance agencies. The workflow and buyer role determine the page and account test.
BUYER WORKFLOWIndependent agencies need to manage submissions and renewals across carriers.
The vendor first checks which agency teams have this problem and who evaluates a new tool.
WHEN THEY SEARCH
Answer the product-fit questions.
Research category, workflow and comparison queries such as agency management software or alternatives to an existing system. Test a use-case or comparison page that explains the relevant workflow and integrations.
WHEN WE REACH OUT
Start with an account hypothesis.
Identify fitting agencies or broker networks. Investigate public signals such as operations hiring or branch expansion, then test a message about the workflow that may have changed. A signal alone does not prove buying intent.
MEASUREMENT Review relevant search visits and sampled AI presence; for outreach, examine qualified responses. Connect either path to demos, signups or opportunities only where attribution is available.

FOUNDER / PRODUCT OPERATOR
Product understanding belongs in acquisition work.
Ankur Shrestha founded Caldrin and has built software products. That experience brings product questions into the acquisition brief: who the tool is for, what workflow it changes, and what happens after discovery or a sales conversation.
For insurance software, the research has to distinguish a broker's daily workflow from a carrier's core-system evaluation before building pages or account segments.
Insurance technology covers distinct products and buyers. A useful commercial page or outbound message has to answer the right implementation and product-fit questions.
Broker and agent software
Agency workflows, quoting, renewals and system fit.
Claims and underwriting
Workflow requirements, data exchange and specialist users.
Policy administration
Core-system evaluation, integration and implementation detail.
Distribution and embedded insurance
Partner roles, APIs, distribution economics and trust.
Insurance marketplaces
Buyer type, comparison context and the route to a transaction.
Depending on the product, buyers may need integration details, security and compliance evidence, workflow fit, implementation expectations and stakeholder approval. Those questions belong on the right product pages and in account research before outreach begins.
